6th Grade Boys

Boys Class of 2031
Cost: $800

Developmental Focus

As 6th graders, these boys are entering middle school and beginning to face tougher competition on the court. The focus at this level is on solidifying fundamental basketball skills while introducing more complex elements of the game. Players will work on refining their shooting mechanics, ball handling, and defensive positioning while beginning to understand team strategies like spacing, movement without the ball, and transition play. This is also a key time to build mental toughness and confidence as they adapt to a faster, more physical style of play. Through structured practices and competitive scrimmages, we prepare players to handle pressure, make quick decisions, and begin stepping into leadership roles within their teams.

Practices

Practices are held multiple times per week, providing ample opportunity for players to develop and hone their skills. Regular attendance is essential to build team cohesion and improve individual performance. Each practice session is designed to reinforce fundamental techniques and introduce strategic elements of the game. In addition to basketball drills, practices frequently include strength and agility workouts aimed at improving players’ overall athleticism, speed, and endurance. These workouts are crucial for helping players prepare for the physical demands of high-level competition. We encourage all players to commit fully to the practice schedule to maximize their growth and readiness for upcoming tournaments and games.
